Hagel resigns from DOD

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced his resignation from the DOD last week.  Hagel's resignation comes on the heels of rumors of tension with the White House.

 

Hagel served as Defense Secretary since Feb. 2013.  He preivously served as a Senator (R-NE) from 1997-2009. Hagel was the lone Republican in Obama's cabinet.
